At last month’s general membership meeting, an employee from Skylark Lounge floated a novel idea: rename the Broadway business district as ‘Baker’s Broadway.’
His reason? The Baker name is gold. Affixing it to the Broadway shopping district would, he thinks, help business.

What used to be a used car lot, just north of Checkers across the street from the post office, and most recently a tent selling Persian rugs, is now going to house a multitude of inexpensive new scooters for sale.
It will take a couple of months to redesign and build out the existing building. Expected completion: spring, as early as March.
Truly hip.
